The Colby Bishop transfer saga is finally over, as the forward has officially signed for Pompey.
The deal looked as good as done on Tuesday before a late bid from Blackpool appeared to have hijacked the deal. Danny Cowley even admitted that the “door was closed” on any move for Bishop.
But Wednesday offered a glimour of hope, with reports coming through that the Blackpool deal had fallen through, with Bihsop then travelling down to PO4 for another medical.
The fee is believed to be in the region of £500,000 for the 25-year-old, with Cowley being an admirerer of Bishop for a long time. According to reports, Bishop was the manager’s first choice.
