Fratton plays host to PSC Final

Fratton Park will tonight host the Portsmouth Senior Cup Final, as Wessex League Champions Hordean take on Fareham Town.

The two clubs, currently in the ninth tier of the English Football pyramid, are set for a night under the lights in what promises to be a historic occasion in their respective histories.

Hordean’s route to the final saw them overcome US Portsmouth Reserves, Moneyfield and finally AFC Portchester in a fantastic 2-0 win over the former-Pompey striker Brett Pitman’s side.

Fareham managed to topple the US Portsmouth first team, as well as Baffins MR Reserves before beating local rivals Gosport Borough on penalties at Cams Alders. The semi-final saw the Creeksiders edge past Fleetlands, also on penalties, to setup the final.

Having recently announced that the club is up for sale, Fareham Town will be hoping for a showcase event. Horndean, on the other hand, will be looking to end their title-winning season on yet another high.

Reportedly over 2,000 seats have already been sold. Tickets are still available to purchase in the Fratton End by visiting https://www.eticketing.co.uk/pompeyfc/Events
