“You’re not fit to wear the shirt”
“We want Cowley out”
Just some of the chants echoing out from the Fratton End as Portsmouth limped to defeat at home to joint-bottom Milton Keynes yesterday.
Easily Pompey’s worst performance of the season, and the fans were not afraid to voice their displeasure at the lacklustre display from the Blues.
Danny Cowley addressed this in his post-match interview, saying:
“This is the first loss at home since January, but we haven’t won enough in the league recently so we deserve the criticism we got and that we’re going to get. We’re a good group, we’re honest, we’re hard-working, we’ll go back to the training pitch and we’ll keep working.
“We believe in what we’re doing, we believe in the way we’re playing, we believe in ourselves and we’ll try to find the solutions”
There was a definite feeling of a “turning of the tide”, with support for Cowley waining. It is worth remembering, however, that the budget set is one of a mid-table club, which is exactly where Pompey find themselves.
At the time of writing, a poll by Forgotten Pompey Goals had 74% saying Cowley Out, with just over 1,300 votes.
Simple enough question Cowley in or out? #pompey

Historically, the Eisner’s have shown patience with manager’s and it’s highly unlikely that a move will be made at this time. But the Blues desperately need to start winning, and a repeat of yesterday would see even more calls for the manager’s head from the stands.
